About

A London practice teaching discretionary traders to read momentum shifts and market structure breaks with patience.

Why we exist

Most traders can spot a trend after it is obvious. The harder skill is noticing when an impulse is exhausting, when a swing stop is likely to be run, and when a true market structure break has printed — not merely a noisy wick. Smartbiz API grew out of evening chart rooms in the City where that distinction kept costing people the same way.

How we work

We teach with live and recent charts, not slideshow theory. Sessions stay small. Language stays concrete: swing high, swing low, impulse, pullback, change of character, confirmed break. We avoid stacking oscillators until structure is clear on the price itself.

Who leads sessions

Training is led by practitioners who have spent years marking London and New York sessions for discretionary desks and private traders. Credentials are earned in the chart room: clear explanations under time pressure, not branded certifications alone. Guest tutors occasionally join for specific markets (sterling crosses, FTSE futures) when an intake needs that focus.

Values that show up in the room

  • Patience over piercing — a close beyond structure beats a hopeful tick.
  • Your markets first — drills use the instruments you actually trade.
  • Honest reservation — if a setup is ambiguous, we say so rather than force a story.
  • UK context — session times, holiday liquidity, and London Wall logistics are part of the plan.

Relationship with clients

We are teachers and reviewers, not brokers or fund managers. You keep full responsibility for your decisions. Many clients return for chart clinics after the workshop; others prefer a short coaching block and then work alone with the checklist.
